Conservation and Planning:

For over 15 years, the employees of e²M have provided environmental science and engineering services to the public and private sectors. e²M’s quality planning services promote the conservation, stewardship, and sustainability of our natural and cultural resources.

Natural Resources Management - e²M is at the forefront of providing innovative methods to natural resource management. Based on an inter-disciplinary approach to ecosystem management, e²M has actively developed adaptive strategies that integrate all aspects of natural resource management and the client’s mission or facility needs. e²M’s technical staff is comprised of a diversified team of biologists, wetlands and soil scientists, ecologists, botanists, engineers, and chemists combined with a thorough understanding of civil engineering and facility management.

Cultural Resources Management - e²M’s cultural resources capabilities consist of management personnel with decades of experience in conducting cultural resources inventories and studies, and developing management and mitigation plans throughout the United States. This long-term involvement has resulted in a thorough knowledge of the history and archaeology of numerous regions, along with Federal and state guidelines for cultural resources management. Our archaeologists, historic preservationists, and applied anthropologists consistently collaborate to meet the interrelated requirements of the National Historic Preservation Act, Archeological Resources Protection Act, Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act, and American Indian Religious Freedom Act, as well as state and local regulations.

NEPA Documentation - e²M is at the forefront of applying innovative methods to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation. e²M’s NEPA practitioners have worked in most United States ecosystems from marine environments to wetlands, deserts, grasslands, and forests. In just the past 5 years, our staff has participated in over 125 NEPA documents (Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements). This depth of experience assures you that practical and cost-effective alternatives analysis that is based on wide and varied understanding will be brought to bear on local problems. e²M technical staff is comprised of a diversified team of scientists, analysts, and engineers. This varied technical background, coupled with a vast array of NEPA experience, results in documentation that more than adequately describes the affected environment, evaluates the potential environmental consequences of a Proposed Action and alternatives, and presents innovative solutions that permit widely varied needs to be met.

Noise Planning and Analysis - e²M has extensive experience in solving environmental noise and vibration problems from aviation sources at military installations and commercial facilities in all regions of the United States. We have dedicated technical staff to solving all types of aircraft noise-related issues. We have developed a nationwide reputation for technical excellence, thorough familiarity with relevant regulations and review processes, and an unusual capability to communicate effectively with the interested public.
